Paxton Henry: 6 months

My little boy turned 6 months old a week ago today! We are amazed at how quickly he is changing. He now grabs for everything and can almost sit completely unassisted. We sit behind him or surround him by pillows so he can fall back safely after several minutes when he gets tired. Stranger anxiety is setting in. When people he doesn't know get too close and talk to him he looks at me to make sure it's okay. Even though I smile and talk happily, he sticks out his bottom lip and starts to cry. Despite this, he enjoys outings and behaves like a little angel in stores and restaurants. Our cat, Bert, is his BFF, but his petting skills need work. He grabs a fistful of fur and holds on for dear life. Luckily Bert is super patient and takes all of Paxton's overzealous affection like a champ.

Weight: 16 lbs, 3 oz (24th percentile)

Height: 26.5 in (42nd percentile)

Favorite toys: keys, octopus, basketball, blocks, crinkly book

Favorite food: Mommy's milk

(I'm going to go ahead and assume this is true until he eats mainly solids :-P )

Likes: chewing on water bottles, petting Bert, surprised faces and noises

Dislikes: putting clothes on, getting his nose sucked out

Milestones: started enjoying solids, eats 1 meal of homemade purees per day (dinner), has eaten rice cereal, oatmeal cereal, avocado, sweet potatoes, and pears, first Valentine's Day, started sucking on toes

 "Ooo, drawstring!"

"Where'd that kitty cat go?"

Photo bomb. And a tired baby.

It's getting harder and harder to keep him away from the sign long enough to take a decent picture!

We can't wait to see what the next month holds for our little man :)

Haha, I giggled at his dislike of getting his nose sucked out. I'm pretty sure Carson thinks that blue bulb is a torture device!
